Gumboda Hed

Gumboda Hed, long known as an old military training area, and as a dance and party venue. A gem located in the village of Gumboda on the E4 highway between the cities in Västerbotten's beautiful coastal area. A popular destination in the summer for both old and young.

The cultural environment with an assembly line, two sheds, an ice cellar and house foundations after the accommodation are only part of what can be seen. An exhibition with a model of Gumboda Hed as it looked at the time when soldiers from the Västerbotten Regiment practiced here, can be seen in the café.

With car from Umeå center: Follow the E4 heading north for about 70 km, turn right at the sign heading to "Gumbodahed". Follow the road and turn right at the first road, then turn left. By bus: It is possibl to get to Gumboda by bus, get off at the bus station "Vallen" and walk the rest of the way.
